Gallop Polls are conducted to find out the best guestimate. Alomost every memeber in this thread would ahve started their green card journey. Disclaimer: I'm not an immigration attroney, so consult one for your situations as laws and filing procedures are changing constantly.
most companies do the same (stop paying for H4) after initial yrs of working with them. i think they have to pay for H1 but i dont think for H4. it is easier to file the extension for H4 visa along with H1, i think it will be like 3-4 pages. i think it is somewhere around 200 for H4 (but fees changes often. check USCIS website).
send the I-539 filled and signed application to the company (with payment/reqd documents) and ask them to file both at the same time so that H4 will be approved when H1 is approved. goodluck:)

First of all you need atleast one pay check from yr current employer for h1b transfer and since yr change of status is not approved yet I guess you can't work for yr employer and you won't be getting paid. I guess the best thing for you is apply for change of status for current employer, get it approved, work for the same employer for atleast a month and then apply for h1b transfer. Hope this helps.

For TR it is still not clear.....They have started posting the jobs in america's job bank...
So it could be anything now...There is no set pattern at present...
There is speculation on immigrationportal that all 2001/02 cases would get through in March april ....

I filed I 765 with Vermont service center on April 30,2009 and even got the I 797 C receipt. When I tried to check the case online it gives a message that

Thanks for your time and consideration. I was of the same opinion till now. But getting a little flustered lately, since my I-94 end date is 10-Jun-2011. I could not check back with my employer if they would be doing a premium one. Because once I raise any such queries, they might start the process now itself to avoid last minute submissions. Since there would be questions from them on why did I delay till now etc :(

What you can do is ask for the case #. Then you can check the status online (it will basically tell you when it was rec'd). After that just sit back and wait for the next 4 months or so. Once I140 is approved ask the lawyer for a copy of the approval notice. This is critical if you ever need to move companies.

First of all if it is PP you will get possible approval in few days.
It may not be a good idea to go for stamping with only 3 months remaining on I-797; and these days they are also issuing 221g left and right.

My cousin sister told me yesterday that - many are shy. Especially men - men could be the shyest people when it comes to showing up in public.
Yes, a big reason for people hiding inside closets is shyness.
This is also called social inhibition - UNABLE TO INTERACT SOCIALLY IN PUBLIC.
COME ON FOKLS - LETS ALL BE REAL MEN - LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT YOU EXIST. YOU HAVE TO OVERCOME YOUR SHYNESS
A LOT OF WOMEN ARE DOING SELFLESS HELP AT IV - THESE WOMEN ARE BRAVE - THEY WILL ONLY APPRECIATE BRAVE MEN - SO IF YOU SHOW UP YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED BY ALL THE GREAT WOMEN AT IV.
