Hi-
I will be applying for my 3rd H1-B extension soon. If for some reason the H1-B renewal gets rejected, do rules allow for applying for a H1-B transfer soon after the rejection.

Also what happens if existing visa expired 4 months back, and current H1 B-renewal is pending for 6 months now. PP is an option, but what happens if the current H1B in processing gets denied. Will there be an RFE before denial.
Anybody waiting for 6 months for h1B approval.

As per Murthy web site today:
Update : USCIS Website States Previous Editions of 485 FORM Accepted AILA Liaison has confirmed that prior editions of the I-485 are acceptable, as indicated on the USCIS website, and that USCIS will be issuing an FAQ with a revised answer to Question 33 imminently.

Yeah.. the list of supported documents on that link is still ok. However, really speaking those are too many documents and most of them are "just in case" documents - 4 pay stubs, 3 or 4 W2s etc. etc. But anyway...

-I got my I140 approved in MAY 2006.
-I got my 3 years H1B based on I140 approval. I went to India for stamping as I was out of status for 10 months due to 7th year extension pending for a long time with USCIS.
- I came to USA on this H1B in JUNE'2006 with approval until JUNE'2009.
-On JAN 2007, my company has received a letter from USCIS to 'INTENT TO Revoke' the approved I140.
-My employer responded to USCIS letter with required documents.
-We are waiting for USCIS decision.
In this situation
1.Will my H1B also be revoked if I140 is revoked?
2. Can I transfer my H1B to another employer. How much time do I have?
3. If I transfer my H1B(i have approval until JUNE2009), can I apply new labor and I140 and get extension again after 2009.
Any other suggestions , help that you can do. Please advise?

The expenses are definitely required - i probably did more renewals and visas than you but that was borne by my H sponsor employers in all cases. Why did you pay on your own ?? Generally peoples who gets paid in Bill rate and make very good money they pay on their own and they don't care 20-25K given the enormous money that they made in 6+ years of H clock.
Regarding GC - my employer paid LC fees, 140 fees and i picked up the fees for 485/EAD/AP because i wanted control on the AOS. I dont want RFE letters to go my employer or their pet lawyer when i've ported off to somewhere else.
Push your employer - why they are called sponsors in H1 based immigration system ?
20K = Using an attorney for H1B Visa, 4 H4, Renewal of H1B Visa + 4 H4, Sponsorship Company got bought and change name = Re-Issuing H1B Visa, PERM Process....
But still.... people ask why illegals just don't come here legally?????? :mad:

While filling the Labor my attorney used my education (Bachelor's degree BSc Comp Science and one year of diploma in computer science) and as well as the experience which was 8 yrs in 2008 for EB3. Then my labor got approved. So we applied for I140, then USCIS had an RFE on my case saying this education is not enough so my attorney prepared some documents showing this BSc Comp science is equivalent to US 4 yrs degree. Then in a month time immediatly I got my I140 denied, So after that my attorney appealed with I290 form, Still got rejected in 3 months then again my attorney re-appealed to it by adding some more information to it. So now the status is showing as Initial review with AAO.

my wife's ssn is tuck because of no online update of her h1 approval.It still shows Pending & received 4months after approval letter received.

Nik,
I had to live with a 70-300 Sigma that was f/3.5-5.6 for a long time. While I made do for sports and motorsports type stuff, my world opened up when I upgraded to a fixed f/2.8 zoom. Hold off a bit, if needed, and get a faster lens. You'll be much happier.
If you're mostly going to be doing landscapes and whatnot, the slower lens will work just fine.
